OVERVIEW

The self-tape has become the predominate medium of auditioning for screen. Approached in the right way, they can present wonderful opportunities for play and exploration. Approached from the wrong way, they can become viper’s nests of anxiety and stress. In this interactive online workshop, we will discuss the technical elements of taping (including equipment), different methods of approaching text within restricted time-frames, the mental health pitfalls surrounding the process of taping, and its aftermath. The workshop will conclude with a Q&A session.

ABOUT DINO FETSCHER

Dino Fetscher is a Welsh actor, best known for his roles in the television series Banana, Cucumber, Paranoid, Gentleman Jack, Years and Years, Humans, The Split and Foundation. He was nominated for a 2022 Olivier Award for his performance in The Normal Heart by Larry Kramer at The National Theatre, directed by Dominic Cooke.
