Actor trainer/director Sinéad Rushe and vocal coach Stephen Kemble re-investigate the art of transformation and how we might think of characterisation as a work of art. Working from the idea that the character is not a version of ourselves, but someone else whom the actor creates from scratch, this workshop recuperates the craft of acting as an act of invention and originality.

Stephen Kemble is a designated Linklater voice teacher, co-author of The Voiceover Book: Don’t Eat Toast, and has worked extensively for The Royal Shakespeare Company. Recent theatre includes: The Seven Acts of Mercy, Snow in Midsummer, Wolf Hall/Bring Up the Bodies, Love for Love, A Mad World My Masters, Queen Ann and The White Devil. He is Associate Voice Practitioner at Birmingham Rep. https://www.thelinklatercenter.com/stephen-kemble
